Fond farewell for flying winger

Dorking Wanderers are planning a fond farewell for winger Kev Terry on Saturday in Ryman South before he jets off down under!

Loyal servant Terry, pictured in action, is making his final final ever appearance for the league leaders against South Park in Reigate before starting a new life in Australia.

Terry, who's made more than 600 appearances in the Ryman League for Leatherhead and Wanderers since arriving at the latter in 2014, can look forward to a nostalgic farewell with the club's officials planning a presentation before kick-off to thank him for his spectacular goals and the promotions he's helped secure for both Wanderers and their Surrey and Ryman rivals.

Wanderers manager Marc White and officials at the Westhumble Playing Fields are hoping a big crowd will turn out at their Surrey neighbours to send the 30-year-old wideman off in style.

He said: “Kev really is irreplaceable on and off the field. He should be very proud of his achievements across both clubs. Most notable is the loyalty he has shown in playing for just two clubs for the majority of his career. Kev is a big character in the changing rooms, and plays football for the right reasons. He will be sorely missed by everybody at the club."
