Sean Scannell signs on for the Urchins

Hornchurch have announced their second highly-impressive arrival of the day. Following Tommie Hoban into Bridge Avenue is former Crystal Palace winger Sean Scannell.

Sean went from the youth team to the first team at Palace, and became a big part of their success over a five year period before moving on to Huddersfield Town, where he spent five years and was part of the squad that earned promotion to the Premier League. Towards the end of his time as a Terrier he played on loan at Burton Albion, and then signed permanently for Bradford City. A spell at Blackpool followed, and more recently he has been at Grimsby Town, however his years as a Mariner were extremely hard hit by injury.

He has played for the Republic of Ireland from Under 17 through to B level.
