Frank makes his first signings

New Merstham manager Frank Wilson has brought in some familiar faces as he looks forward to his first campaign in charge of the Moatsiders. Two of his first three signings formerly played for him at Tooting and Mitcham United- and the other finished last season alongside him at Kingstonian.

First in came centre-back Antonio Simeone, who was part of Frank's promotion winning side in 2017 and ended the last campaign back at Imperial Fields after also turning out for Molesey, Whyteleafe and Ashford United in the intervening period. Read more on his capture here.

Simeone was followed into Moatside by another veteran of that title winning side, Peter Wedgeworth. Peter made forty two appearances at full back for the Terrors last season, scoring twice, following forty three/four in 2017/18 and twenty/one as United picked up that silverware. Finally, the third signing was another player who has turned out for Frank previously- but this was a more brief relationship, as the two ended the season together at Kingstonian. Former Burgess Hill Town stalwart James Richmond will also add steel to the Merstham defence. Read more here.
