We're back in action this evening, as Barking host Maldon & Tiptree

Our Pitching In Isthmian weekend starts early tonight as we head to Mayesbrook Park, home of Barking, for their North Division clash with Maldon & Tiptree.

The hosting Blues, with Charlie MacDonald confirmed in post- at least for the foreseeable future- and two new forwards, in the shape of George Purcell and Freddie Parker, in place, really need to pick up some points and move away from the wrong end of the table. They start the evening in seventeenth place and with only one win from their last ten matches, although they have looked much stronger of late, with only two defeats from their last six.

The Jammers have had a stop-start campaign, losing to AFC Sudbury last time out and not yet hitting the heights of previous campaigns. They start the match in tenth place, but that shouldn't yet be cause for alarm amongst fans who were expecting a promotion challenge, as they have three games in hand over many of the clubs above them so the six point gap to the top five is not yet insurmountable.

The last four meetings between the sides have gone the way of tonights visitors- with an aggregate score of fourteen-four. The last time they met was on October 14th, when goals from Malachi Napa and Shomari Barnwell earned Maldon a two-one victory. George Purcell scored for the Blues.

The match kicks off at 7.45 PM.
