From Histon to Africa

By Ian Townsend

Bridge Road has once again become a drop-off point for your unwanted kit- which will make an enormous difference to children in Gambia

Last summer Histon FC sent a large amount of unused kit to the children of Kerr Ardo school in Gambia, and they'd like to do the same again this year. The Pitching In North Division club have asked fans to donate shirts and shorts, trainers and boots- or even kit for other sports such as cricket, hockey or rugby- which can then be sent overseas where it will do a world of good rather than sitting in a cupboard or going to landfill.

If you have any equipment which you would like to donate, please make a phone call to John Payne on 07591 187137 to arrange a drop-off at Brige Road. Your donation will enable young people in a deprived corner of Africa to enjoy the physical and educational benefits that sport can bring.
