From Snapper to Sprinter?

By Ian Townsend

Heybridge Swifts photographer Alan Edmonds will be putting down his camera to run for Breast Cancer UK- although there may not be too much sprinting involved!

Photographer Alan Edmonds is about to temporarily put down his camera and pull on his trainers. Alan, who's usual habitat is the touchline at Heybridge Swifts, is currently in training for the ASICS London 10K, which is scheduled to take place on July 14th, and is attempting to raise one thousand pounds for the charity Breast Cancer UK.

He explains:

'In 2021 my wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and thanks to Scientists, Consultants, Oncologists, Nurses and people raising money she is well on the road to recovery.

I am hoping to raise as much money as I can to help research a cure and save more families from this devastating illness.'

Please contribute to Alan's total by heading here.

The very best of luck Alan, and our best regards to your missus, who we're sure is standing by with the blister plasters!
