Gate bring in Palmer

By Ian Townsend

Midfield reinforcements for Margate

We're a few days late to this party, but on Friday Margate announced the signing of midfielder Ryan Palmer.

Ryan has previously played for Burgess Hill Town, making thirteen appearances during 2019-20, and Hythe Town, where he was a big part of the Cannons midfield for two seasons and played sixty two times. He also signed for Merstham before the 2019-20 season but left there six weeks later without playing a match.

He started last season with Sittingbourne, where he played four times, and is also a big part of SE Dons.

Manager Jay Saunders told the club website:

“Ryan is a great, experienced player who understands the game well and offers lots to our squad. He is a versatie midfielder and is really good in forward areas. Like other new faces we’ve brought to the club, Ryan’s character and leadership skills offer us a lot and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”
