Terry Painter steps down, Ricky Owen steps up

Margate have announced that Terry Painter has stood down from his role after three years in the chair. Speaking to the club website, he explained:

“It is time for me to step down from my position as Chairman, and as a director. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in supporting me throughout my time at the club, you have all made significant contributions and helped me along the way.

“I have been very fortunate to work with so many wonderful people. There really is a fantastic team pushing the club forwards. I wish everyone; from the owner to the new Chairman, and all the supporters, all the very best for the future.”

Vice Chair Ricky Owen steps into the role, with Director Chris Chambers becoming Vice Chair.
