Getting FA Cup ready

By Ian Townsend

Three of our clubs will be in FA Cup First Round action next week. Here's how you can watch.

We're little more than a week away from AFC Sudbury, Bowers and Pitsea and Horsham's FA Cup First Round ties, and tickets are on sale for all of them.

AFC Sudbury host Colchester United, who are currently nineteenth in League Two and only three points above the bottom two. Yes, they are eighty five places higher in the pyramid than our Yellows, but Sudbury are in fine form and an upset isn't beyond them.

The club have sold their initial batch of five hundred tickets, and the next batch should be on sale soon. Keep an eye on their Website- here- for details. They've also got a special commemorative FA Cup shirt, which you can purchase here.

The match will be played on Friday 5th November, 7.55PM kick off, and shown live on BBC2.

Bowers and Pitsea travel to face Lincoln City, and we'll be bringing you an on-the-whistle report from that one, which kicks off at the more traditional time of 3PM on Saturday 6th November. We did consider going to Carlisle instead, but that's almost Scotland! City are currently twelfth in League One, but the bigger they come, etc..!

Bowers fans are in the Stacey West Stand, and tickets are Adult £10, Concessions (18-21, 65+ & disabled) £5, Under 18 £2. Tickets can be purchased here.

Finally, in Carlisle which is almost in Scotland, Horsham will be taking on Carlisle United. Tickets are being sold directly by the Hornets, and will be on sale on Thursday evening between 7-9PM and again after their match against Carshalton Athletic on Saturday. They are also running supporters coaches, leaving at 5.30 AM on the morning of the match, and you can find all the details you need on match and coach tickets here.

Carlisle are currently twenty second in League Two, only two points above the bottom two and with only two league victories. Perhaps the Hornets can leave them free to concentrate on the League? We all hope so!

Good luck to all three of our representatives. We're mightily proud of you!
