Going for Golding

By Ian Townsend

Former Worthing and Lewes forward Dajon Golding makes a scoring debut for Cray Wanderers

The Cray Wanderers faithful may not have had any points to celebrate after yesterday's five goal thriller against Bishop's Stortford, but they could celebrate the debut- and first goal- of new signing Dajon Golding, who put Wands ahead on sixty eight minutes before a Blue comeback.

Dajon has most recently been in National League South with Tonbridge Angels- his second Step Two club this season as he started the campaign with our Play Off winners from last season, Cheshunt. Of course he left a promotion-winning club to join the Ambers, as he was a big part of Worthing's title win last season, making forty nine appearances for the Mackerel Men and scoring ten goals. Prior to his time with Worthing he was a Rook, playing twenty two times for Lewes during the 2018-19 campaign and another thirty five- with eleven goals- the following season, prior to his departure for Woodside Road.

He has also played for Phoenix Sports and Hastings United, after coming through the Dartford Academy.
