Hastings go to Eastbourne once more

Full back Marcus moves in from Town

Following their signing of Eastbourne Town winger Aaron Capon, Hastings United have headed back to The Saffrons and brought one of his teammates to Pilot Field, announcing the signing of full back Marcus Goldsmith.

Marcus has spent two seasons at Town in the SCFL, joining the club from SCEFL side Crowborough Athletic. He previously played for Hailsham Town.

United manager Chris Agutter told the club website:

“Marcus has really impressed during pre-season training and games, he is a very strong young man who’s humble and hardworking. Just like Jake Elliott last season and just like many others who are now established at the club, Marcus is keen to make the step up in terms of level and has the work ethic to give himself the best opportunity to make this move a success.”
