Swifts climb to third

Heybridge Swifts started the night in fourth place, knowing that victory would see them close the gap on leaders Lowestoft Town to one point and could see them climb to second. They got that victory- although they ended the night in third as Felixstowe bettered their goal difference- but the win was hard fought, as we expected with Gorleston their opponents. Swifts went ahead midway through the first half, Ross Wall with his fifth of the campaign. The Greens, who were five without a win, hoped to stop that run when Ryan Curtis levelled just before the hour, but the last word went to the hosts, Sam Park scoring the winner eighteen minutes from time.
