Maldon & Tiptree welcomed Bury Town in a battle of the promotion chasers. The Jammers had won four of their previous five, whilst their visitors had been superb of late, ten unbeaten and having won eight of them, and they went ahead in this one on nineteen minutes, Cemal Ramadan his usual deadly self in front of goal, his twentieth of the season. It was two-nil to the visitors twelve minutes before the break, Luke Brown doubling their advantage, and it looked to be game over when Town added a third seven minutes before the break, Ollie Canfer’s fourth in nine matches since joining the club. Bury added a fourth goal on the hour, Oliver Yun most certainly making the game safe, although the Jammers then got themselves onto the scoresheet, George Smith reducing the arrears. Maldon added a second with thirteen minutes left, Milton Oni bringing it back to two-four, and the added time was seemingly endless, but the Blues held on to move to fourth.
