One point from nine had seen Three Bridges slip from the top spot, and they looked to have a tough match in prospect as Cup heroes Sheppey United came to Crawley- but they certainly didn’t make it look tough! Noel Leighton put the hosts ahead after just two minutes, and the Ites delivered some disaster of their own midway through the first half, as Ola Majoyegbe saw red.
The ten men were then taken to bits by their lethal hosts. Leighton quickly made it two, and completed his hat trick six minutes after the restart. Just before the hour Ibrahim Jalloh made it four, and the Ites agony continued as Keven Rivera added a fifth with eleven minutes left. Rivera got another a minute from time, six-nil the final score, and Bridges are once more level with leaders Ramsgate at the top.
