Hillians add Hornets midfielder

Taylor moves across Sussex to Burgess Hill Town

Burgess Hill Town have announced the signing of Lewis Taylor from Horsham.

We knew that Lewis was leaving the Hornets, as his departure was announced a few days ago, and on Friday his arrival at the More Than Tyres Stadium was confirmed.

Lewis returned to Horsham last summer, heading back to a club he had played for fourteen years previously- and for whom he had scored a famous equalising goal against Swansea City in the FA Cup. He also turned out for AFC Wimbledon, Margate, Carshalton Athletic, Bromley and Kingstonian, before joining Dorking Wanderers for their first campaign in the Isthmian Premier, where he scored ten goals in twenty five appearances, following that with six more as they won the title in 2018-19.

He played nine times for the Hornets in a severely truncated 2019-20 season.
