Hornets ask for help

With their new stadium growing by the day, Horsham look to their volunteer army

After years as wandering nomads, by May 2019 Horsham FC should finally have a home of their own once more, with their new stadium at Hop Oast currently awaiting its new pitch, and with stand, fencing and floodlights already in place. The main stand has a capacity of 308, the hardstanding areas have been contructed, the foundations are in place for the clubhouse, the terraces will be covered-and there will be a family stand, too. You can visit the website which reports specifically on progress with the new stadium- and see lots of images, just like the one above which we borrowed from there- by clicking here.

In preparation for opening, the club are looking for volunteers from across the local area to help to make their new facility- designed to be a community asset- a success.

An appeal on their website-here- states:

'Let us know if you think you can help, and whether you have particular areas of expertise or are prepared to turn your hand to more general tasks. I can assure you that we won’t be taking advantage of you and will not be holding you to an open-ended commitment. Offering an hour or so every few weeks will be really valuable but if you are prepared to do more, that would be great.'

Anyone who would like to get involved should contact Committee Chair Sean Bravery by email, here.
