Invicta sign former Margate keeper

Folkestone Invicta have announced the signing of former Margate keeper Henry Newcombe after a short trial.

Henry started last season as Gate's number one, making twenty one appearances and keeping seven clean sheets during that period. He also spent some time on loan at Hythe Town, turning out in the Cannons 4-3 defeat at Whyteleafe and their 3-1 defeat to local rivals Herne Bay. A Gillingham scholar, he signed a professional deal there before moving to Wycombe Wanderers, and also previously spent time on loan at Canvey Island.
