The former Fulham, Hull, Ipswich Town, MK Dons, Peterborough, West Ham and Wigan star, pictured, was thanked by officials at Fetcham Grove for securing their Ryman Premier survival with a 13th place finish to the 2016-17 season after his surprise announcement on Friday that he was leaving for a mystery job in the pro game.
The 38-year-old midfielder hung up his playing boots in 2012 and is reported to have been offered a full-time role after the success he enjoyed in his first managerial post following his high profile appointment by the Surrey club in September 2016.
Wishing the former 'Get Me Out of Here I'm A Celebrity' contestant well in a statement on the club's website, the Tanners said: "Jimmy Bullard has decided to pursue a full-time role in football away from Fetcham Grove.
"Leatherhead Football Club would like to thank Jimmy for all he has done, enjoying a great final run which saw the Tanners survive relegation and finish 13th in the table.
"We wish Jimmy every success in his football management career and 'thank you' for the great times seen at The Grove in 2016-17."
