Mackerel Man is now a Scholar

Potters Bar Town have announced the signing of Worthing defender Alfie Young.

Alfie has made half a dozen appearances in red this season, the last one a scoring one, in the win over East Thurrock United on September 11th- although he was an unused substitute in two matches after that. He made thirty three appearances during 2019-20, and a couple more last season, which was interrupted for him by injury as well as by the lockdown which impacted on all of us.

Prior to his time as a Mackerel Man he came through the Watford Academy, before moving on to play for Hendon and Wingate and Finchley. He made nine appearances for the Greens during our 2016-17 season, and another eighteen for the Blues during that same campaign.
