Maidstone's attractive reward

By Peter Butcher

RYMAN South club Maidstone have been rewarded for their FA Trophy victory over Premier side Whitehawk with an attractive home draw against Conference South leaders Salisbury City in the first round proper.

No other Ryman League sides are definitely through, but there could be an all-Ryman tie if Canvey and Leatherhead surive tricky replays away from home.

The draw (to be played on Saturday November 24):
CANVEY ISLAND or Chesham United v LEATHERHEAD or Bath City
KINGSTONIAN or BRENTWOOD TOWN v Dartford
LEISTON or HAMPTON & RICHMOND BOROUGH v Chelsmford City or Dover Athletic
MAIDSTONE UNITED v Salisbury City
WEALDSTONE or Corby Town v Hayes & Yeading United
