Make it Snappy- 23 October 2021

By Ian Townsend

We bring you some fabulous work from our wonderful Pitching In Isthmian photographers- and with one hundred and forty two goals they had much to photograph!

Yesterday was rather a spectacular day across the Isthmian League, and- of course- a photography collective was crouched on the touchline doing magnificent work. As has become our custom, we're going to take the opportunity to feature some of their shots and point you towards the rest of it.

So, in no particular order, here we go!

Cheshunt walloped Cray Wanderers by four goals to nil, and before the game both teams paid a silent tribute to former Ambers and Bishop's Stortford boss Gordon Boateng, who passed away earlier this week. Much love to all of Gordon's friends and family. Ambers pic courtesy of Local Bus Driver.

Chris Neal was at the More Than Tyres Stadium, watching as Burgess Hill Town defeated Sevenoaks Town for the second time this month. The rest of his images can be found here- but you can see just how important that victory was to the home side in our headline image.

We had two people pointing a long lens as Bowers and Pitsea hosted Bognor Regis Town. We've included an image from a new name for us, Lyn Phillips- see more here- and the usual fine work from Nashy Photo from the Len Salmon.

Brownie Sports Photography had much to savour as his Cray Valley PM side went to Sittingbourne and scored six! We'll just call this one, "Joy."

Worthing v Lewes brought nine goals and two fabulous photographers. James Boyes captured the goal of the game- perhaps the goal of the season (wait until you see the highlights) for Ollie Tanner for the Rooks,
whilst Marcus Hoare was snapping for the hosts, who won the game five-four. Here's former Rook Dayshonne Golding scoring for the Mackerel Men.

Clive Pearson was capturing AFC Sudbury's win over Felixstowe and Walton United, whilst Andy Dovey was in Guernsey, as the Green Lions defeated Northwood.

Heybridge Swifts fought hard but slipped to defeat against Grays Athletic, captured by Alan Edmonds. This one didn't go in! Terry Gilbert was watching Barking fall to defeat against Dereham Town, and Neil Dady saw lots of goals as Canvey Island ran riot at Bury Town.

Heading South Central again, and Gary Brigden captured Sutton Common Rovers win over Thatcham Town, whilst back in the Premier Stuart Tree was watching Corinthian-Casuals defeat Hornchurch. We've gone for a bit of mean and moody black and white!

Neil Holmes captured Chichester City's draw with Hythe Town, whilst another Neil had rather more to capture, as Bracknell Town put five past Chipstead. Neil Graham is your man!

Finally, J. Ginger was watching Staines Town draw with Marlow, whilst On Field Matters captured Westfield v Chalfont St Peter.
