Marlow Aaron running- and walking- for Macmillan

By Ian Townsend

Marlow coach Aaron Steadman is running the Thames Path Half Marathon to help Macmillan Cancer Support. Here's how you can help.

Marlow coach Aaron Steadman, who you might also remember from his spells at Bracknell Town and Chalfont St Peter, won't have time to rest when the season ends. Instead he will be taking off his football boots and pulling on his running shoes to assist Macmillan Cancer Support.

Aaron, spurred on by seeing the support Macmillan provided to his mum recently, explains:

'Macmillan nurses need to be given as much praise as humanly possible. Not just that, they need the support to help as many people suffering with cancer as possible. Their work has been absolutely amazing and I really hope they help as many people and families suffering with cancer for many, many years to come.

Running a half marathon (walking most of it to be fair) is the absolute least I can do for such an amazing organisation.'

If you'd like to help Aaron to reach his goal, he has a Just Giving page where you can add to his total. You can find it here.

The very bets of luck Aaron!
