Merstham hail the return of Hutchings

Merstham, in fourth place in the Bostik Premier Division, travel to Tonbridge Angels today shorn of the defensive qualities of full back Tom Bird, who- as we announced yesterday- has headed to Kingstonian for the third time. But it's not all bad news for the Moatside faithful.

In December, midfielder Jake Hutchings left the club for Wingate and Finchley. But now he's back!

Jake had made ten appearances for Hayden Bird's side before heading to Summers Lane, and has made eight more in North London, most recently in the draw with Whitehawk earlier this month. But it seems that he couldn't bear to be away, so now he's back, and should travel to Longmead today.
