Merstham sign Worthing target man

Merstham have announced the signing of Worthing centre forward Shola Ayoola.

Shola, who spent last season in the USA, was previously a youth player at Stoke City before his release in June 2018. He initially joined the Mackerel Men on trial before being offered a deal in early August. Since then he has made fifteen appearances scoring two goals, but has spent the majority of his time on the bench.

He goes straight into the Merstham squad that travels to Kingstonian this afternoon, meaning that both sides will have a new striker on show.

Shola is a Republic of Ireland Under 18 international.
