Safe Hands Hughes to remain with Aveley for 2021-22

Aveley have announced that goalkeeper David Hughes has agreed to stay on for the forthcoming campaign.

David joined the club from Harlow Town in 2018, and played thirty one times during the 2018-19 season. He bettered that in 2019-20, making forty one appearances as the club reached the Quarter Finals of the FA Trophy and were in second place in the Pitching In Isthmian North Division when the campaign reached its premature end. He even managed a goal, opening the scoring in a four-nil win over Basildon United in the last match before lockdown- see below.

As well as Harlow Town, David previously played for Thurrock and East Thurrock United.
