Moatsiders become a temporary foodbank

Merstham open up their clubhouse to local charity

Merstham, like all of our clubs, are currently unable to use their clubhouse as designed- but the Moatsiders have decided that they don't want it to be standing empty, so have temporarily 'donated' it to a local foodbank to help them with their operations.

Loveworks, a charity based in Reigate, are committed to fighting against food poverty, as well as working to prevent social isolation and loneliness in older people, and providing coaching to improve confidence and resilience in young adults. As you can see from the image above, the Moatsiders clubhouse at the Whisky Bible Stadium has become a temporary hub for foodbank operations in the Merstham area, something particularly important as we go through a period which has brought financial instability to many.

You can find out more about the work of Loveworks by heading here, and you can help them by donating cash or food. Find out how to do that here.
