Moatsiders fans honour their keeper

Pierson is their Player of the Year

Merstham yesterday announced that their Supporters Player of the Year award had gone to goalkeeper Matte Pierson.

Pierson, pictured here in an image we've borrowed from the club (thank you), headed to the Whisky Bible Stadium last summer, one of a raft of reinforcements brought in by new manager Frank Wilson after almost all of the Moatsiders 2018-19 squad decamped to Kingstonian. He previously played for Bedfont Sports, and he'll be used to awards, as he won several of them at his previous club at the end of last season.

Congratulations to Matte, who made thirty seven appearances in the most recent campaign.
