Monday Night Football!

We've a Velocity Cup Quarter Final tonight- and this time, we expect it'll be on!

It's Velocity Cup Quarter Final time- the last of them- as we discover who will be at home to Haringey Borough in a Semi-Final scheduled for next week.

Our home side tonight are Pitching In Isthmian Premier Hashtag United, although they should have been our away side, but repeated postponements have seen the tie reversed, so South Central Badshot Lea have to make a trip to Bowers and Pitsea's Len Salmon to see whether they can take on the role of giantkillers and join Borough, Chatham Town and Ashford United in the last four.

The Tags got back to form in a big way on Saturday, travelling to Billericay Town and hitting the promotion chasing Blues for four, a result which made it four unbeaten for United- albeit their first win in five, as they have become the top flight's draw specialists, with twelve draws from thirty three matches. They can't add to that number tonight, as there will be a winner. To reach this stage they've defeated Concord Rangers two-one and Brightlingsea Regent seven-two.

The travelling Baggies have played fewer matches than any other side in the South Central Division, and although they sit comfortably in mid table have three, four of even five games in hand over many of the sides above them. Such has been their difficulties with the weather that they haven't played a home match since February 6th, and have managed only one league match home or away since that date- although they did record a comfortable County Cup win at Redhill nearly two weeks ago, so the lay off doesn't seem to have affected them too much. They defeated Binfield, Ascot United, Northwood and Chipstead to reach this stage, so this will be their first match against a side outside of their own Division, but those four victories have seen them score twelve goals and concede only one.

The match kicks off at 7.45 PM.

A fine day for Hornchurch, who didn’t play! Both Chatham and Billericay lose- Carshalton and the Tags the victors- whilst Horsham go fifth. Rooks and Gulls deliver a late show, but have to settle for a point each
