Monday night football as Robins host K's

Our midweek football has an early start this week, as we head to Colston Avenue, where Carshalton Athletic entertain Kingstonian in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier Division.

Athletic, in tenth place, will be cock-a-hoop after defeating leaders Worthing last time out- and if they can continue in that manner they will surely soon be challenging the top five. The K's, however, are now occupying the final spot in that top five, courtesy of their wins over Leatherhead, Lewes and Brightlingsea Regent since the turn of the year.

It is about time the Robins took victory against these opponents, as they've gone seven matches without one- a run which contains four defeats and three draws. The last time that Kingstonian came out of a match between the two on the wrong end of the scoreline was more than a decade ago, on November 13th 2011, when Athletic won three-two in front of a crowd of four hundred and sixty eight at Kingsmeadow.

The match kicks off at 7.45 PM.
