Monday's Ryman Premier action review

By David Watters

There was just one game in the Ryman Premier on a wet and windy Monday night but it was a crucial one concerning the bottom end of the table, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Farnborough had won just once in their last nine matches in all competitions, while visiting Hendon had fared almost as badly, with just one win in eight.

And, although the Greens had plenty of chances in the game, it was Boro who pulled to within two points of fourth-bottom Brentwood Town and six of the safety mark, after a hard-fought 1-0 win.

The only goal of the game came in the 74th minute from Estonian U21 international striker Bogdan Vastsuk, who is on loan from hampionship side Reading.
