More Dockers

By Ian Townsend

Even more of last season's squad to remain at Tilbury

We brought you news yesterday of a pair of Dockers who had decided to remain with the club for another campaign, and soon after we signed off they announced more- and as of a short while ago 'more' was up to six!

The hot half dozen are as follows:

David Knight
Tommy Barton
John Easterford
Joe Turpin
Brian Moses
Ryan Boswell

Knight, who scored forty three goals for Bowers and Pitsea during 2018-19, headed to Chadfields in October, and managed a rather incredible nineteen goals in twenty one matches for the Dockers across all competitions.

Midfielder Barton made thirty eight appearances, scoring six times, whilst skipper Easterford made thirty appearances at the centre of the third best defence in the Division. Turpin only rejoined the club shortly before lockdown so only got to play twice, after spending two seasons in the centre of the Basildon United defence, whilst giant striker Moses weighed in with sixteen goals last season, joining the club after winning South Central promotion with Cheshunt.

Full back Boswell enters his third season with the club. He previously played for Romford and East Thurrock United.
