Morning Woods!

By Ian Townsend

Northwood announced a collection of new arrivals over the weekend. Here's a round up.

Northwood were very busy over the weekend, announcing six signings.

Midfielder David Taylor was part of the Chertsey Town side which won the FA Vase a few years ago, and was previously a big part of the side at Harrow Borough during their Isthmian days. He spent time playing in Australia, and was also with Borough last season, in the Pitching In Isthmian Southern Premier, but missed a great deal of football due to injury.

He was a big part of the Hanwell Town squad which was in second place in Pitching In Isthmian South Central when the 2019-20 season crashed to a close. He previously spent time with the Woods during 2017-18, and has also played for North Greenwood United.

Another midfielder, Ergys Pepaj, comes in from Potters Bar Town, where he played for the Under 23 side and managed one appearance for the senior side, in defeat against Carshalton Athletic back in November.

Ronan Hutchings, a third midfielder, comes in from Hampton & Richmond Borough. he spent time on loan at Tring Athletic last season, and weighed in with eight goals. He also spent a little time with Hendon last season, and was previously a youth player with Brentford.

Lindell Stewart is a forward who was banging them in for Windsor last season- indeed he scored sixteen goals as his side finished seventh. He was previously with Harefield United.

A full back, Rahim Jude-Boyd, moves over from Cricklewood. He was with QPR during his youth team days; indeed since he was nine years old.

James Budden, a defender, returns to the club after a few years away. He has been a Scholar for most of the intervening period, turning out for Potters Bar Town during the last five seasons and making nearly one hundred appearances. As well as the Woods and the Scholars, he has also played for Amersham Town, Hitchin Town, Leverstock Green, Aylesbury FC and Hemel Hempstead Town.
