New arrivals at Rovers

Harvey Keogh, Gideon Acheampong and Ronaldo Ashman sign on at Sutton Common Rovers

Sutton Common Rovers have strengthened their squad with the arrivals of Harvey Keogh and Ronaldo Ashman.

Keeper Harvey moves over from Leatherhead, where he has been for little more than three weeks without playing- that said, we don't think many people got to play any football during the last three weeks.

Harvey is a former Tanners youth, who made his breakthrough at Aldershot Town where he played for the Under 23 side. Since then he become an England Under 18 international, and played for Fleet Town, Redhill and, most recently, Epsom & Ewell- indeed he was a massive part of the Epsom side which knocked Metropolitan Police out of the FA Cup in August, despite playing with a dislocated finger. He's very young and highly rated- imagine how good he might be with eight fit fingers and two fit thumbs!

Ronaldo Ashman comes in from SCEFL side Holmesdale, where he seems to have been mainly on the bench. The centre half previously played in the Kent Youth League for Bromley, and Under 16 football for Erith and Belvedere.

Full back Gideon Acheampong returns to the club after being an unused substitute in their opening day win over Met Police. He has since been playing Pitching In South East football with newcomers Broadbridge Heath, making twelve appearances for the Bears. He has also spent time at Redhill this season.

Last season he was part of the Epsom & Ewell side which won promotion- via the play offs- from Southern Combination Division One, and indeed was the captain. That Final appearance was his one hundredth for the club. He was previously with Meridian VP.
