Okay, Jesse

By Ian Townsend

Two new arrivals at Stowmarket Town

Stowmarket Town have this morning reinforced their Pitching In Isthmian North Division promotion push with the arrival of Erkan Okay from Stowmarket Town and- on loan- Jesse Nwabueze from Ipswich Town.

Erkan, who is also a highly-qualified coach, was not only a player but was Assistant Manager with Rangers, who these days play in the Pitching In Southern League. His departure from Rangers after four and a half years was confirmed last night, and was a result of a change in his personal circumstances.

The midfielder is vastly experienced, having played for Chelmsford City, Lowestoft Town, Royston Town, Histon, AFC Sudbury and Cambridge City.

Rather less experienced is Ipswich loanee Jesse. Also a midfielder, he is an important part of the Tractor Boys Under 18 squad, and won't be unknown to Isthmian watchers as he's already spent time on loan at Bury Town this season, making six appearances- the last of which came in defeat to Canvey Island on October 23rd. He plays on the wing, predominantly, and did feature in the first team squad at Portman Road in pre-season.
