Oysterboys sign a centre-back from Bay

Whitstable Town bring in Kabamba

Herne Bay have announced that defender Simon Kabamba has moved up the coast to sign for Pitching In Isthmian South East rivals Whitstable Town.

Kamamba has been with the club since the summer of 2017, and made eighteen appearances last season, but hasn't had any playing time during the current campaign.

Bay boss Ben Smith, speaking to the club website, explained:

“It’s a shame for Simon, and for us as he has a lot of potential which you could see when he returned for dual reg last season. Unfortunately, he has been a victim of the consistency of Ryan Cooper. At 21 Simon realises he needs to get more guaranteed minutes to continue his progression”.
