Perfect Heath

By Ian Townsend

Haywards Heath Town held on to their one hundred percent record, whilst Ramsgate hit Hythe for three. It’s our round up.

Haywards Heath Town maintained their perfect record at the top of the Pitching In Isthmian South East Division, and once again came from behind to do it, defeating local rivals Burgess Hill Town at Hanbury Park. Trey Masikini gave the Hillians the lead midway through the first half, but the hosts hit back nine minutes after the restart, Jordan Clark getting the equaliser before, seven minutes later, Jerson Dos Santos got his third of the season to seal the win. Herne Bay travelled to local rivals Whitstable Town and climbed to second. A Zak Ansah double made the difference, Danny Walder scoring for the hosts, who are still searching for their first point.

Ramsgate are up to third, courtesy of a Jordan Chiedozie double at Hythe Town. That’s four goals in his last three matches for the Rams striker, who increased their lead after Lee Prescott got the opener in their three-nil win.

The only goal of the game saw Cray Valley PM defeat Corinthian to go fourth, Connor Dymond with it, whilst a late, late goal for Ashford United saw them defeat East Grinstead Town to go fifth. Tommy Fagg’s fifth of the season gave the Nuts and Bolts the lead, but a goal two minutes from time from Troy Walters seemed to have earned a point for the Wasps- only for Luke Burdon to win it at the death.

Another late goal for VCD Athletic- scorer as yet unrecorded- saw them take a point at Phoenix Sports, for whom Andrew Dythe had opened the scoring, whilst a second half show from Hastings United saw them claim their first league win of the season, defeating Whitehawk two-nil with goals from Sam Hasler and Ben Pope.

Three Bridges came from two goals down with ten minutes remaining to earn a point as they hosted Sevenoaks Town. Hayden Skerry and Max Walsh looked to have won it for Oaks, the second coming twenty minutes from time, but Steve Smith, with ten minutes to go, and a last-gasp Ben Bacon equaliser ensured that a point stayed in Sussex.
