Pompey Ojo back with the Lancers

By Ian Townsend

Destiny Ojo makes another Lancing debut- this time on loan from Portsmouth

Lancing had a familiar and welcome face amongst their substitutes as they drew with Beckenham Town on Saturday, and Destiny Ojo played his part as they fought back tot ake a point, emerging from the bench in the early stages of the second half.

Destiny was previously with the Lancers during their very first season at our level, 21-22, and made fourteen appearances, scoring in the last one against east Grinstead Town in February 22.

The forward, who was an Under 18 player at Lewes before spending time as a Lancer, has most recently been on loan at Pitching In Southern Premier side Poole Town, and they were sorry to see him recalled by Pompey, as in seven starts ( another fifteen as sub) he scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists.

He moved to Portsmouth after leaving the Lancers, and immediately picked up a serious injury which ruled him out for seven months, but he has impressed for the Fratton Park Academy side and was part of the first team squad in pre-season.
