Rams and Bay legends to face-off for charity

A match between promotion-chasing Ramsgate and Herne Bay in the Pitching In Isthmian South East would normally be entertainment enough- but today fans of both sides will be treated to another, rather special match immediately after the end of the main event.

Raising money for the Ramsgate FC Hardship Fund and Herne Bay Community Facilities Fund, Rams boss Matt Longhurst, Bay boss Ben Smith, Bay Chair Stuart Fitchie and a host of other legends from both clubs will be pulling on their boots and providing you with another ninety minutes worth of entertainment, all in the name of charity. They'd love all supporters to dig deep, stay behind and have a good time- whatever the result of the primary encounter.

Taking a quick look at the first match, three points and three places currently separate the sides. The Rams, in third place, have only one defeat from their last five; whilst Bay, who slipped out of the top five following defeat to Ashford United last time out, had previously gone five matches undefeated- although they have now gone three without a win.

When they last met, on November 2nd, the Rams emerged three-one winners- so as well as the usual local rivalry Bay will be looking for revenge, and the chance to jump back into a playoff place.

Kick off, as usual, is at 3PM.
