Regent bring in Gregan

Chris Gregan made his Brightlingsea Regent debut against a former club on Saturday. It didn't go as planned.

Brightlingsea Regent have signed defender Chris Gregan from Heybridge Swifts, and gave him his debut against one of his former clubs, Bishop's Stortford, on Saturday. It didn't go according to plan, as his new side were thrashed five-nil.

Chris actually started this season with Stortford, but didn't play a match. He made forty appearances for the Stortford side which narrowly missed out on the Playoffs during the 2018-19 season.

He left the Blues to sign for Swifts, and made twenty two appearances, the last of them coming in defeat to Hashtag United on January 10th in the Essex County Cup.

The left back, who has spent much of his career with Chelmsford City, also played twice for the Blues on loan, and also played briefly for Harlow Town. His list of clubs also includes brief periods with Gloucester City, Frome Town and Yate Town whilst he was away from Essex studying.
