Robins coach beats cancer- and looks to beat the pavement for charity!

Carshalton Soccer School coach Charlie runs the marathon for Children with Cancer UK- you can help

Carshalton Athletic Soccer School coach Charlie Degale recently recovered from cancer- and now is looking to help children suffering from the same disease by running the Virgin London Marathon to raise funds for Children with Cancer UK.

On his Virgin Giving Page, which you can find here- please give generously- Charlie explains:

'The chemotherapy obviously took a toll on my mind and body and it was while going through the treatment that it got me thinking, if I’m feeling like this, then how must a child with cancer be feeling? How must they be coping? It was at this point that I made the decision that I would take part in the biggest sporting charity fundraising event in the world The Virgin London Marathon, and to raise loads of money for the Children with Cancer UK Charity. I am determined to give something back!'

You can read more about Charlie and his story by visiting the club website here, but it's more important that you click the link above and donate!

Good luck Charlie, from all at the Bostik League.
