Robins Peter moves upstairs

Director of Football is the new title for Peter Adeniyi

Carshalton Athletic have announced that manager Peter Adeniyi is manager no more. The Robins boss saw his resignation announced yesterday, along with the news that he was heading upstairs.

Peter explained:

“Its time to pass the baton onto a new manager to whom I will give my full support and assistance to give him the best chance of success. I appreciate the support I have been given from everyone, not least the club management, the fans, and players.”

Chairman Paul Dipre added:

“Peter has been an integral part of the club at many levels and has been instrumental in our success over the past five years. He has been a key member of my team and I am very pleased that he has accepted my offer to take on a more wide-ranging role to help the club continue progressing.”

Adeniyi's prime achievement during his period in charge was to steer the Robins to the Isthmian South Division title of 2017-18, a campaign when they amassed one hundred and two points and he picked up the Manager of the Year Award-pictured. He has since turned them into a competitive Premier Division force, finishing second and fifth in their first two campaigns.
