Rocks bring in Dartford defender

Bognor snap up experienced full back

Bogor Regis Town have announced the arrival of Dartford defender (and occasional midfielder) Gavin McCallum.

Gavin is Canadian, but he began his UK career with Yeovil Town, making his first team debut before moving on to Weymouth. Havant & Waterlooville, Sutton United and Hereford United also played host to his talents (the latter twice), before he became established at first Lincoln City and then Woking.

A move to Sussex followed, and he was a big part of the Eastbourne Borough squad for almost four years before heading off to Kent, first with Welling United and then, last season, with Dartford. He has played international football with Canada at senior and Under 20 level.

Robbie Blake was delighted with his capture:

“To be able to attract a player of his ability and experience speaks volumes about our intent for the season ahead. He was at Dartford last season at a higher level so we know he can offer lots to us and we know he can easily adapt to our style. It’s a big signing for us and we can’t wait to get started.”
