Rooks borrow a Hatter

Luton Town midfielder Casey Pettit is loaned to Lewes

Lewes had a new player on the bench for their 2-2 draw with Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday, as Casey Pettit joined from Luton Town.

Midfielder Casey started his footballing career at a very young age at West Ham United, before moving on to Millwall- and then headed to Kenilworth Road as an Under 16. He has since played for- and indeed captained- the sides at Under 18 and Under 21 level.

He signed his first professional contract with the club last summer, and was honoured with a League Football Education Award at the end of last season for his efforts on and off the pitch, and his charity fund raising.

You can see him below, being interviewed by the Hatters as recently as last week, after captaining the Under 23's- including seven first team players- against Stevenage.
