Rooks lose to Rocks, K's win the battle of King George's Field, and Yellows are more athletic than Athletic

Our round up of Wednesday night's action in the Premier and North Divisions

The last time Lewes won a home league match Boris Johnson was still running a minority government, MP's were still refusing to allow a General Election, Prince Andrew still thought that a TV interview might be a good thing, Southampton were still looking forward to the visit of Leicester City, and nobody had heard of Fallon Sherrock.

Corinthian-Casuals arrived at the Dripping Pan on October 23rd, and left after a one-nil defeat. Since then ten clubs have followed in their footsteps, and each one has left with something to show for their efforts. The latest, last night, were Bognor Regis Town, who scored the only goal of the game in the second minute- Dan Smith's twenty fifth of the season- and then held the Rooks at bay for the rest of the match. The performance of the home side, according to a number of their fans, wasn't bad at all- and Rocks coach Robbie Blake described the performance of his visitors as "poor and abject...we're lucky to win one-nil-" but Lewes will now be looking over their shoulders at the relegation places with real concern.

Our headline image of a visiting fan- in a hat which probably didn't keep him too warm- comes from the lens of Eva Gilbert. You can see a whole album of Eva's snaps by heading here. And you can read, watch and listen to the Lewes progcast by heading here.

At King George's Field Kingstonian were 'hosting' their landlords, Corinthian-Casuals, on a night dedicated to raising money for local charities. For best part of an hour it seemed as if the match was going to end all square, after Eddie D'Sane for the K's had cancelled out Benjamin Checklit's opener for Casuals, and then in added time Kingstonian were awarded a penalty which Tom Kavanagh put away, and three minutes later the home side got another through Dan Bennett to make it three-one.

Bognor are up to eighth, Kingstonian are eleventh, whilst Lewes are seventeenth, only two points above a relegation place, and Casuals hold up the rest- but have games in hand over nearly all the sides above them.

In the North Division AFC Sudbury travelled to Parkside to take on Grays Athletic, gave a debut to another young Academy prospect, Alfie Adams, and left with three points. Adam Bailey-Dennis and Callum Harrison put the yellows two up within nineteen minutes, and although they scored an own goal just before the break Grays couldn't find an equaliser. Sudbury leapfrogged their hosts into thirteenth, whilst Grays have now lost their last five league matches.
