Bognor Regis Town have announced the return to the club of forward Alfie Rutherford, who is returning to the game after a long spell out for heart surgery. Alfie moves to the seaside on loan from National League side Dorking Wanderers.
Alfie joined the Rocks from Moneyfields at the start of the 2015-16 campaign, and he went on to play a massive part in a memorable campaign which saw them reach the Semi-Finals of the FA Trophy and the Isthmian Premier Play Off Semi-Finals, scoring sixteen goals in fifty one appearances as they narrowly missed out on automatic promotion. He moved on to play for the side who beat the Rocks to automatic promotion by two points the following season, Havant and Waterlooville, where he stayed for two years before moving to Eastbourne Borough on loan. Another two years at Havant followed before a move to Dorking Wanderers, where his side won promotion to the National League during 21-22.
