Ryman League

More than a dozen clubs from across the Ryman League's three divisions are joining clubs from across the country supporting the Football Association's new 'Sir Bobby Robson National Football Day'.

Aveley, Barkingside, Bognor Regis Town, Crawley Down Gatwick, Dulwich Hamlet, Erith & Belvedere, Herne Bay, Horsham, Redhill, Maidstone United, Thamesmead Town, Thurrock and Wingate & Finchley have all signed up for the inaugural event on the opening day of the new season.

Taking place on Saturday 10 August as part of The FA’s 150th Anniversary celebrations, the event also aims to raise awareness of the work of the late footballing knight's cancer charity - The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

The FA invited the Ryman League's FA Charter Standard Community and Development clubs along with others within the National League System's Steps 1-5 to take part and become one of the 150 community football events they are organising and promoting up and down the country.

The Ryman's proud representatives are all staging fixtures along with coaching sessions, penalty shoot-outs and other activities to promote football to their local communities.

To help those taking part the FA have sent clubs new Nike and FA branded footballs, training bibs, t-shirts, pitchside banners and online promotional toolkits.
