O'Leary departs Potters Bar Town

Potters Bar Town have announced the surprise news that manager Lee O'Leary has departed the club. In a statement released last night, they explained:

'Potters Bar Town have today accepted the resignation of first team manager Lee O'Leary.

We would like to wish Lee all the very best for the future and thank him for his efforts since taking over at the club.'

Former player Lee took charge of the side- initially in conjunction with Scott Cousins- in October 2018, following the departure of James Duncan. Lee was a big part- as a player- of the Scholars North Division promotion, captaining the side to success. They finished his first campaign in sixteenth place, were thirteenth when 2019-20 came to a premature end, and were fifteenth when last season came to an end almost before it started.

They currently sit in seventeenth place, although with as manay as four matches in hand over the sides around them.
