Seasider Sam goes to Scotland

Felixstowe forward Ford flies

Felixstowe and Walton United forward Sam Ford has headed north of the border, and signed for Arbroath.

Sam had made nine appearances this season, scoring twice- in the victory over Canvey Island and the draw with Witham Town.

Sam played youth football with both Ipswich Town and West Ham United, and whilst a Hammer had time on loan at Bishop's Stortford. After leaving West Ham he had his first spell with the Seasiders, before trying his luck in Australia with Port Melbourne Sharks.

He went from the sunshine to Slovakia, playing for FC Kosice, spent time in Iceland with Thróttur Reykjavík, and then headed back to the Seasiders at the end of last year.

He could be playing the likes of Celtic and Rangers next year. Arbroath are currently top of the Cinch Championship in Scotland.
