Seasiders run from Lands End to John O'Groats and back...

...without ever leaving Felixstowe! Charity runners ask for help.

Felixstowe and Walton United operate- by our calculations- twenty four teams, and it's just as well given the challenge they've taken on! The management and players from across their senior and youth sections have all joined together to raise funds for the club by running from Lands End to John O'Groats and back- that's one thousand, seven hundred and forty eight miles- but of course they're doing so virtually as they're not allowed to leave their local area.

On their Crowdfunding Page- which you can find here- they explain:

During the month of February the club is coming together, with every participant clocking up mileage on the Strava running app to complete the challenge.

All money raised from your donations will support the club in these difficult times to purchase brand new goalposts for our Junior teams (featuring 300 boys and girls from 6-16) and also raise funds for the Level Two Youth Project in Felixstowe to promote the welfare of young people (age 7-25) in the local area, through supportive relationships and positive experiences, designed to enhance their personal and social development.

We'd like to wish them luck- and ask that if you can help, you click on the link above and donate. They are making an enormous difference to the Felixstowe community, and that is undoubtedly deserving of support.
