Seed Growers bring in two- but lose their star striker

Two new arrivals at West Street- but one significant departure

Coggeshall Town have seen the arrival of two players who have recently played for North Division rivals- but if Twitter is to be believed, fans of the Seed Growers will also have to cope with a significant departure.

The arrivals are Jayden Gipson and Marc Gorbell. Jayden, a striker, moves over- we assume on loan- from former Leiston manager Glen Driver's Braintree Town, having most recently been on loan at Felixstowe and Walton United, where he played only one match- a five-one thrashing at the hands of Bury Town in the Velocity Trophy. Gorbell, a defender, comes in from Great Wakering Rovers, where he's made nine appearances this season- including in defeat to his new club back in August. He has also previously played for Harlow Town and East Thurrock United, amongst others, and made his debut in Saturday's home defeat against Waltham Abbey in the Essex County Cup.

The departure is a big one. Late last night, prolific striker Nnamdi Nwachuku made the following announcement on Twitter:

"It is with a heavy heart that I must announce I will no longer be playing for Coggeshall Town F.C. after 4 unforgettable years at the club! Thank you for all your support over the years and I wish the team all the very best this season."

In his eight appearances so far this season he has already scored seven goals, following on from the twenty five he got last season. We don't yet know where he's going, but the loss of a player of that quality may be a big blow to the Seed Growers promotion hopes.
